I don't remember exactly how it came to be, whether she asked me first or whether I just offered, but all I know is when Danielle told me she pretty much had no pictures of the birth of her first child, Hazel, I knew I wanted to do this for her. The birth of your children is something you never forget, but photographs are always wonderful to look back on and remember those little details that sometimes get lost in time. So when Danielle went in to be induced with her second daughter I was more than excited to be there. The labor and delivery of a child was definitely the most amazing experience I have captured with my camera and one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had altogether. It was by far my favorite photo shoot I have ever done. I was so honored to be there and be part of it not only because the Rasars are dear friends of mine (and my husband), but also because the birth of a child really is a true miracle. Progression was slow at first so I came to the hospital only to leave and then return again the next night. Finally, on Saturday, March 9th, almost exactly 36 hours after being checked in to the hospital, Edith Katherine Rasar was born! Thank you so much, Danielle and Joey, for letting me be a part of your special day! And congratulations on your new little bundle - she is a doll!
